Everyone!! Another game i want to introduce you to!! Jun/16/10 6:23:31 Hey guys, I know how much you guys like Earth, so I wanted to introduce you to another game like earth. It's at playteq.com. Over the years we've lost some players, and could use more. I really like it. It's same type of game like Earth in the sense that you build on land certain types like if you want to make your own military, or if you want be a casher, or baker, or researcher, etc. There are a few different aspects though. but you'll understand just fine I'm sure. I can teach you guys how to start if u want, and let u run and challenge me for the crown ;) This game has 1 month sets. In Team server Teams of 10 members are allowed, and in Group Server, groups of 3 are allowed. We do this because with smaller player base, if too many ppl are on one team, it will be too powerful, but more importantly, that means less landgrabble targets. Each team has a president, and option of 2 VP's. There's a team/group forum right there on team/group page, as well as president forum for Prez and VP's only that you can have diplomacy. Also, at the end of each round, you accumulate points based on your final ranking. The system remembers your last 6 finishes and totals the points, and then your overall ranking determines your badge. I think you all would really enjoy it, cuz I love earth and I love this game too, maybe even more. There's no 12-18 hours bonus thing, so u can stay online as long as u like. Let me introduce to you some differences There is a bank, in which you can keep money in and earn some interest per turn to build buildings, you need to build or buy something called Building Components(instead of straight up paying money, but this also opens the door for a new strategy to play, making these things) You have a "profile" in which you set for your country. for example, u could make it so you focus on making more bread, or bring bread down to minimum if u want to buy bread and be a casher or something, it'll make sense when u see it. basically instead of picking a government like in earth, u customize ur own. in team server u are allowed to change it 3 times(no penalty) and Group server 4 times(no penalty). this is allowed because different profiles are best for different stages of game. example, beginning, then after the first few days u go into what u'll have for most of set, then at end u may switch. Attacking and Landgrabbing. We all have an understanding to the following attacking guidelines. This is due to the fact that we understand landgrabbing is a dynamic of the game, and for some strats, well, needed. Here is what we do. You cannot attack the same person within 48 hours. don't hit the same person more than 2 times in a set, might get away with 3. don't hit the same tag in 24 hours. don't hit the same person ur teammate has hit within 24 hours. IF you are attacked by someone, you are allowed 48 hours from time of attack, to take a "personal retal". seems fair, right?? We don't do if someone hits your team, then anyone else from that team can hit u back, that's just no good. More power to the individual, and incentive to do ur best. Now as a team or group, you are FREE to make as many Do Not Hit pacts as u wish, as long as others accept it. So you can be a tree hugger too!! but here's what's great!! u know how earth u can't explore forever? u struggle for land. At playteq.com you can attack for land, or BUY land. And the system is pretty balanced. the more land u have, the more expensive it is to buy, obvious. so really, it's okay now if u want to be a treehugger, u can still actually win a set. Planned strikes. In this game they are called Planned Operations. It's different though, and I think, better. You can send out a Planned operation from between 4-40 hours. 4 hours would be 110% strength, 40 hours would be 200% strength. And u also take more land with longer PO. Generally We do NOT accept anything over 20 hours max, even stay away from that, because they're so powerful. Ppl will kill for it, for example if someone half ur size did a 40 hour PO, not only would they take a lot for 40 hour PO, but also since they so much smaller and less land, u could really hurt somebody's set. But, it's for u to choose. Also, When you do a Planned Operation, your army is AWAY until the attack lands. I.E. you are vulnerable to anyone else who may want to attack you. But the bonus is, you do not pay maintenance or food when u use turns and these guys are away on PO. Lot of people usually PO on someone small, then buy land, expand, etc. to cut costs. Spies. Here they are called Seals. Only 2 things u should use are Bribe Military Staff(see their info) or Steal Discoveries. But we have ettiquette with Steal Discoveries. If you mass SD someone and u're caught, well, u better offer something good or get rdy for War. or u can be good at it ;) Investments. Generally not used til middle to end of set, cuz it costs money, u can invest money to turn some money into more money. However, remember, if u put money into investments, it's money not used in getting ur net up, and u may look weak and get LGed. nobody will know or can know if u have investments though. Market. IMportant here. You get 3 markets tickets. once u use one, it's open for an hour. then u can't use it again for 10 hours. u have 3 tickets so it shouldn't be a problem. There is also a Private Market. This is a big thing. Your private market, you can set in your government profile to be cheaper. Your private market holds up to about 3 times the amount of Each unit u have, so keep enough units to keep it growing! The private market is a key to victory. For example, say you're a casher. U can start off early by using your private market, for early networth and get fat quick. Or u can be a War Factorer and make your own units, and just let your private market grow and get beastly. Because at the end, our end jumps consist of buying out our private markets, make sense?? The more land you have, the bigger your private market grows each turn. So generally it's a clever mix of public and private market, because you may need to rely on private market to boost ur net to protect land, Or sometimes buy from it to take a Personal Retal. Lot of strategy in this game, It really is nice. I'm not just an advertisement guy, I really like earth. I just think a lot of u who like earth would like this too. Cuz i like it, and we'd love more players/competition too. Please try it out, and get ur friends to do the same. Come over and play Dr. YouDiezSt Team Server will restart beginning of the month, and Group Server will reset about 2nd day of month or so. You can get familiar with it now, and i can post good ways to start and familiarize u with it more too. There's a support wiki on the site too if anyone wants to see it. I really say it's worth the investment. It's not hard, just learn it like u did Earth. Trust me Earth2025 brothers and sisters, if u liked earth u should like this, maybe even more...as long as ur hearts aren't just attached to this. I play both earth and this :D |

Jun/18/10 21:53:48 well that's good some of you are familiar with it. you should come back and play with us xD i think it's good to not put all ur eggs in one basket too. say one set in earth u really wanted to net, and u get sucked into war, well, you can still enjoy netting with ur other country. |

Jun/19/10 9:05:46 The problem I think, Tseng, is, Earth has been around long enough for most people to try out other stuff, and decide it's not for them. I don't know that I've ever tried TEQ, but I've tried tons of other online games, and heard enough about TEQ, to be turned off to it already.
